Blue and violet vase embellished with an abstract halo form at the opening to add interest and provide more structure to floral arrangements. Thrown and trimmed on the wheel from black stoneware clay, then altered and finished with a firing to cone 6 (approximately 2232 °F).
The pale blue glaze is a limited edition created as a sustainability and anti-pollution initiative. It was made by reclaiming and recycling small amounts of other glazes that would otherwise be discarded during the glazing process.
